Holidays . . .

We thought we'd give you a map and a link so you know what we're up to while we are away. The 10-day cruise starts and ends in Papeete and, as you can see, jumps around to some very amazing Islands!

We get married at a resort on October 2 and then continue to cruise. We then head back to the resort for a week and have spoiled ourselves with an overwater bungalow suite - yeah!

We are going to try and update with photos and stories while we are away - so stay tuned. Here's a link to the cruise Itinerary: http://www.princess.com/pb/itineraryDetails.do?voyageCode=T728&tourCode=&date=&noOfPax=2&resType=C&definition_name=

And here's a picture of the suite @ the resort!

The little Island in the middle of the resort is where the ceremony takes place.

OK getting way too excited - but you get the idea...beautiful!

A Boyd Birthday

It was Scott's birthday yesterday (Happy Birthday Scott) and lucky for him he got to spend the entire day doing whatever he wanted...he's finished work until we get back from Tahiti!

Dell, knowing his birthday was yesterday, made sure his new computer arrived in time for him to enjoy it. I'm sure you can imagine what his day consisted of – in fact, he couldn't even pull himself away from his new computer long enough to have breakfast or lunch! I don't really blame him though...I don't know if any of you have tried to use Scott's old computer, but think of the slowest moving dinosaur you can possible imagine, and then multiply it by 10!!! I refused to use it!!! We have high speed internet, but due to the ridiculously slow processor within the dinosaur, you would think we had a hamster running info back and forth to Shaw with the information!!! And somehow he still managed to keep this blog up to date…unbelievable!!! Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new computer and had a wonderful birthday Scotty Boy.

It's Official!!

The Boyd Biking Team registered for the 2008 BC Bike Race today -- yeah!!

Next June 28 - July 4th, we will ride our mountain bikes from Victoria, BC to Whistler, BC (approx. 600km in 7 days)

OMG - what have we done!?! Hard to believe we are going to pay to be tortured like this! But having done the TransRockies in 2005 with Schwartzee the team does have a little experience with a staged bike race and doing this as a husband and wife team will be exciting as we get to do more training together!!

The race stops in Port - so family and friends on the Island can come and cheer us across the Stage 2 finish line (and maybe cook us a meal that evening?! Oh - or make reservations at Little Barvaria!!)

Stay tuned as we document our training and anticipation for the race. You can learn more about the BC Bike Race @ http://www.bcbikerace.com/

Moving Day

No, not moving day for us! But Paul, Amanda and Molly (dog) move into their new place today -- yeah!

After years of living in the concrete jungle of NYC and their 700sq ft Studio Apartment, they are finally getting some green and much deserved space to branch into.

They've moved to Princeton, NJ and will have to commute to Manhattan, but they are excited and busy!
Can't wait to come & visit!!

Wedding Webcast

How cool is this? A friend of ours found a web-cam @ the Resort we are getting married at. And it just happens to be pointing on the little Island (motu) in the middle of the Resort where the actual ceremony is going to take place!!

Now family, friends and fellow bloggers can take a quick peak and see the ceremony via the Web.

We get married October 2nd at 10:00am Tahiti time. As a point of reference, Tahiti is currently four (4) hours behind Calgary time. So anyone in Alberta can tune in @ 2pm and get some of the action!

We're very excited that even more people can now be part of the fun!

24 Days and Counting!

Well, we only have 24 agonizing days until we leave for beautiful Tahiti to get married and enjoy some fun in the sun...not that we are counting or anything! Actually it seems everyone who is joining us is just as excited - Scott and I both receive e-mails, phone calls and text messages reminding us of how many days to go.

Tonight we are having a little "Get Ready to go to Tahiti Party" at our house to give everyone their plane/cruise tickets and get accustomed to some responsibilities we will have while away...ie drinking daiquiris and pina coladas!!! Unfortunately we had to send Carol and Terry's and Dave and Doreen's tickets in the mail, but they will be receiving a phone call to join in the fun for a while tonight!

In the mean time Scott and I will just have to settle for looking at photos of Tahiti we (or our friends) find on the Internet…
