Sled and Snowman!

Despite the rather mild winter we have been enjoying, there was enough snow @ the lake toboggan hill to put our sled into action. It was a present last Christmas for Megan from Nana and Baba (thanks!!) This year she was VERY excited and understood its full potential for SPEED!

She loved the experience (I'm sure her smile gives it away!) It was all about the speed this year!

We must have gone a dozen times! Megan walked up the hill by herself about 3 of them (where does this kid get the energy?!) And then daddy & mommy pulled her up the rest of them. She also liked to watch daddy go down the hill by himself.  And when he pretended to fall off the sled and roll down the hill...her laughter could be heard from top to bottom!!

We also took time to build a snowman. It was the first of the season, but if we get more snow there is sure to be more requests.

Megan wanted to give the snowman a hug and kiss good-bye when it was time to leave...OMG so cute!

After a hard day of snow racing and building - it was time to relax on the couch. Mom got a new helmet for skating this year. And Santa is scheduled to bring Megan one too...it looks like it won't be a problem to get her to wear it!

Gingerbread Train...choo...choo!

It's that time of year! Megan picked the train over a traditional house - not surprising when you know how much she still loves Thomas the Train!
Here's the final product...not all the candies "made" it to the train. But taste-testing is a sign of any great Chef!
Here is the Chef/Artist in action! Pretty sure she is singing along to some Christmas Carols that were playing in the background. And she knew she was gonna be messy - so she asked to have her shirt off.
"Daddy...no more photos...I'm trying to work here!"
