New Toy!

We can name many reasons for a recent purchase of an iPad2...Scott's travelling lots this month so it will help with "FaceTime" with the family back home; its great for family holidays; super easy blogging, etc...

But all we know is that we are loving the Apps and Megan is already understanding how to get to her favourite painting game!

On a side note - Best Buy SUCKED as a Point of Sale location! Scott may rant...um, I mean blog, about that at a later time!

Sewing and Modelling...

Katie got a sewing machine for Christmas and has quickly put it to good use! She's been busy sewing for Ms.Megan and by all accounts she has impressed!  Here's a quick pic of our little girl strutting her stuff for our camera.

Yes, she's already worn it to daycare -- with tights and a top...'cmon people its winter afterall!  LOL.

New Year Developments...

Happy 2012! Hope everyone is doing well. We have enjoyed some amazing warm weather in Calgary. Record highs of +13 last week...crazy that we can see the grass @ this time of year! But the snow is coming and we will welcome that too as we miss snowboarding, skating and sledding!

Our little girl is keeping us busy and laughing!  Today @ Gymboree she showed off a new skill. She will now jump into the foam pit. It was Fire fighter day (Scott was thrilled!) and Megan had to climb to the top and jump to save people down below.  She watched a couple of others do it and then took the plunge after she counted to three! A great way to start - dad was very proud of her and she loved the new skill!

Also part of daddy-daughter day was a trip to the Mall. Megan has been asking to wear the same outfit over and over and over. So the plan was to get her some new dresses (no sense in fighting it any more - it's all she will wear!) So as we were picking out the dresses, Megan found some shoes! And while dad said 'no' to several other items, the shoes became part of a negotiation...shoes if she will sit for a new passport photo.  I mean really, when is it too early to bribe your kids??  Worked like a charm!

Tonight she did a fashion show for mommy and insisted on wearing new shoes and a dress to bed over her pjs! Lucky for us, she asked for it off by the time books were finished! So begins 2012 and the many new developments we are sure to have in store for us!
