Happy 3rd Birthday!

We had Megan's birthday party today.  End of September, in Calgary, and you can pretty much expect anything for weather! But we were VERY fortunate to have amazing weather and the party could take place outside!
We hired a face painter - and the kids loved it. Megan was a butterfly, but we had Spiderman, puppy dog, flowers and princesses!

 Sierra was very cute!

We moved the bouncy castle outdoors (it paid for itself today...kids love these things!)

So between the bouncy castle and the play set/swings the kids were distracted enough to all be good and have lots of fun!!

Birthday Girl was all smiles, all day!

And of course there was lots of food. We had 9 kids and they ate 12 hot dogs!

Megan was very spoiled with her gifts - very nice family and friends (thank you!!)

And of course time for cake too...Rapunzel Cake this year was the request!

And there was lots and lots of dancing!  Auntie Eve got her a new pink shimmering toto...we lost count of how many twirls have already been done in it!

Happy Birthday Megan - have a great year - We love you!

Bouncy Castle!

Birthday came early for a little head red girl!  She loves her bouncy castle and party plans at the end of the month are sure to include it!

She's learning some new moves and can get really high already...great.

Happy girl...

End of Summer...

September Long Weekend...where did the summer go?!  Looking back we can say that we did lots and had a great time with family and friends - but it doesn't make it any easier to know that we're headed for the cold.  We made the most of our last day of the long weekend and spent the day @ Calaway Park. Megan was here 2 years ago with her Nanaimo cousins, but was now big enough to enjoy and play!

We had watched this ride before she got on - but she was made at us because she didn't like how it bumped up and down like a dune-buggy.  She quickly forgave us when it stopped. But this photo is a symbol of her protest...LOL!

Mom and Megan were first in line for this ride and were able to secure the Purple seat...despite only letting go with one hand, she loved this ride!

Captain Megan of the purple boat! She liked that she had "guests" ride with her and quickly made friends and pointed out her mommy and daddy to these two kids.

Ace of the high sky, in her purple air plane! Are you seeing the purple theme develop...hahaha!

We stopped for a bag of cotton candy - which she knows by name, despite having only had it at the circus before this time.  She loved the massive bag we got for $5

When the bag was empty, we told her to give us her best "sad face" -- we laughed really hard!!  She cracks us up!!  We had a great day and Megan managed to stay awake eating her lunch on the way home too!  Hope you've had a great long weekend!
