Outdoor Fun!

We were fortunate to have Nana and Baba and Great-grandma with us over the Christmas holiday!  Despite the very cold weather we had in Calgary (-27) we made the most of our time together and some of the lake community activities we enjoy!
Nana and Baba gave Megan new skates...she couldn't wait to get them on and hit the ice. She did so well in them and is excited to try again now that the weather is warming up (-5!)  She was also very impressed with how fast Baba goes on his skates - yeah Baba!

We also did some toboggan runs...but when it was time to warm-up, we hit the near-by Tim Hortons!  There's always time for Tims and a cuddle with Nana!  Some great memories and lots of laughs - thanks for the visit...see you soon on Facetime!  XO

Do you like my dance moves?!

Dance Video!

This was a classic view of our 30 minute dance preview.  Megan waiting in line for her turn - but why watch the other kids or simply wait when you can continue your one-girl show by yourself?!  We love the little looks she gives to make sure we are still watching!

Dance Class

Hi!  Today was sneak-a-peek @ dance class!!  Each Saturday Scott takes her, but waits in the lobby while the dance class is on...guess it's to help the little ones stay focused w/o the parents in the room. But today the parents were invited into class to see their progress!  Here's some photos.  We had a blast watching her and she really seems to be enjoying herself too!

The girls were cold before they got to run around and warm-up!  Calgary is in a deep-freeze...but we got fresh snow overnight which is making things look great for Christmas!

Attendance and time to listen...guess who couldn't resist sending us a grin with her excitement!?!

I'm not even going to try and describe the technical aspects we saw. Some of my sister-in-laws who took dance growing up are welcome to leave comments!  Lets just call this warm-up hokie-pokie!

Megan can't stop moving...even when it's not her turn!  She's getting ready for her chance tho!

Megan's Turn!!  They called this 'side gallop'  We will try and post some video either here or FB because this was very entertaining to see!

This was a skipping type move - with a focus on tippy-toes!  Yeah Megan!

At the end they let the kids do some free expression dance. Magic wands, check. Large mirror to stare at herself in, check. Music, check! Prepare to be amazed.  LOL!  Great work, baby!
