Scott's dad did had a quadrupole by-pass and is recovering nicely. Thank you to all that kept him in your thoughts and prayers the last few weeks. He'll be back home tomorrow.
Katie spent last weekend in Vegas with her mom and Aunt from England. She has the shoes to prove it - but got some good deals, so everyone is happy!

Scott is back at school (Masters of Management & Public Administration) and is already a good procrastinator when he should be writing his paper (as you can tell from the EGG-cellent post below!)
We are in the process of building a garage - cement work to be done next week while we still have this amazing Fall weather (+13 and sun!)
We are trying to take advantage of the great weather and commuting to work, but the long hours at work the past few weeks aren't helping our success rate!
I think that's about it...oh, except for some good tunes to pass along to you -- Secondhand Serenade. Great background music/mood music. Scott likes their use of Hyperbole's in their lyrics and enjoys drumming to them in the basement too. Funny how he's been playing the drums more often since school started too...

Enjoy the weekend - it's pumpkin carving weekend - so look for a blog to see our design!

A good update, glad Katie had a good time in Vegas--would have liked to see the shoes though. Runners, black pumps, velcro walking shoes--the mind boggles.
Glad to hear Scott's school is going so well (I posted twice to give you a chance to reply and procrastinate more. Hope to see a shot of the garage when it is done.
We bought our pumpkins yesterday and will carve mid-week I think. HG is in Vancouver until late Saturday.
Cheers,
~Grant
I really had to resist the velcro walking shoes...and the black pumps...but I did come home with a new pair of boots (for work), new brown leather shoes (again for work) and a new pair of runners (since I have to get off my butt and get back in shape!) I could have come home with another 10 pairs, but I really enjoy being married and would like to stay that way – it has only been a little over a year after all!!!
Ok - now I'm laughing so I'm 'logging in' just to leave a comment (I hope you can appreciate that b/c word verification, username and password ALL take time)...
Velcro walking shoes!!!! I'm even selective in which ones my kids are allowed to wear because I'm still scarred from the baby blue pair I owned in my early teens! Anyways - sounds like a nice selection & no worries on just being married for a year and a bit - we're going on ten years & my secret is just to 'show' them oh about every third pair! They'll get over it :) Enjoy!
