We took possession of our new place last Monday! And it didn't take long to get to work on the renovations we want to make before we move in. The demolition seems to be going well and there was tons of progress, as of Friday night. New counter tops, fixtures, sinks and back splash for all the bathrooms are on the way.
The kitchen gets new counter top, fixtures, back splash and a massive sink too!
The fireplace in the living room is getting a great layered slate look and the big cubby hole is being covered over - we aren't TV people - plus as if that area would ever get dusted, if we didn't close it!
A very cool mud room is also in the works. it will look similar to this photo, except the door will lead to our garage and we want a bench that opens with storage more inside.
OK - that gives you the latest update on house happenings. Katie and baby bump are both well - Dr. appointment next week, and then the 18-week ultrasound the following week!! Enjoy your weekend.

Our search continues. I looked at a place today but it doesn't work for us. Lots of rooms but no living space :(

You know, our "hole" above the fireplace kind of seems like a junk collector... but we do have a TV in that space, so we can't really fill it in, but maybe we need a bigger TV so it fills the WHOLE space!
