Yesterday we had a baby doctor appointment and we got to hear the heart beat - amazing! Once again the doctor teased us with the old wives' tale of increased heart rate means baby girl.Ultrasound is booked in the coming weeks and that will be our first glimpse at our little girl or guy. Can't wait!! Mom and baby are both doing well - gaining the right amount of weight and mom is feeling really good. Katie is 18 weeks today.
Katie is also feeling little kicks throughout the day - mostly while sitting at her desk. A couple of more weeks and maybe dad will get a chance to feel the Kung Foo going on inside too.
Busy weekend with homework, dinner with friends, brunch with Uncle/Aunt from Winnipeg and all the stuff in between. Hope you have a great one!

That really is an old wives' tale... Our boys were both 150-160 all the time, and Elise was about 140-145... so it doesn't mean a thing! I was always told that higher meant a girl, but it was exactly opposite for us!
It is very cool when the kicking starts... and even cooler when you SEE the baby moving and kicking, a bit strange, but cool!!
