Flashback . . .

Funny how much can change in a year! A year ago this week we were in the midst of the BC Bike Race...on our way to 7 beautiful days of biking 600kms of some of the finest trails on the West Coast.

And now we're waiting to have our first child, we've ridden only a few hundred KMs so far this year (compared with just less than 2,000km last year) and we're well rested! hahaha.

Good memories of a great adventure - but we're happy to be making new ones now too!

Enjoy your Canada Day (or if you're one of our North America readers, enjoy your Wednesday!) - we have lots to be thankful for in this Country!

Stampede Is Here...

Stampede starts next weekend, but our Lake Association had their Stampede Breakfast & Activities this morning. We walked over to the lake to take in some of the fun. There was a pancake breakfast with bacon & sausage - horse carriage rides - craft fair - bouncy castles and lots of games to occupy the hundreds of kids in attendance.

And there were also things that made you go Hmmmm?

Like the "Monkey Poo Dodgeball Game!"

And you can tell by the photo - even the kid doesn't get the idea of the game!

Yikes..throw poo kid, throw poo -- before you're out!!!

Baby Mama got to horse around a little bit too!

Anyway - a great morning of fun. Should be lots for us to do next year with your little one!

Baby Fun!

So the other night as we were getting ready for bed, Scott pulls out his stethoscope to see if he can hear the baby's heartbeat. In the reading we've been doing, they say we should be able to hear it.
And what do you know - we could!
It was very cool. We had just been to the Doctor that morning, so Katie knew where to try and find the beat - and we found it very quickly.
One of the great experiences we are enjoying with our baby. Hope you have a great weekend.

Baby Sierra Arrives

Adam and Roxcie had a little baby girl! We got to see her last night and she is beautiful.
We can't wait until she gets to meet her cousin - 3 more months! We can only imagine the adventures and fun they'll have together on the farm and at the lake.
Mom, Dad and baby are all doing really well.

Baby Mama!

So we've had lots of emails asking for photo updates of Katie - so here she is at 25 weeks. Strike a pose! Looking cute.

Other than that - sorry for the lack of posts, as we have been busy, busy, busy.

And speaking of pregnant poses - our soon-to-be baby will have a cousin in the very near future...like hours. Adam & Roxcie are in the hospital...let the fun begin!

Hope you made the most of your weekend - catch-up soon.

We're In!

After a long day of moving - we are now in and making it feel like home.
The rain held off until we were done, which is something we are very thankful for.
Boxes everywhere. Nothing broken (yet...)
Thank to Ed for some huge help today - very much appreciated!!
Catch-up more, later this week.

Before & After . . .

Moving day is Friday (yeah!) and the renovations were completed today. Thought we'd give ya a look at the changes. Hope you like them as much as we do.

Making the island all the same level makes it massive! We'll be able to have 6 people eat there...no problems.

The flat bottom ledge piece of the fireplace is still needed

All the bathroom sinks (4) & fixtures are the same.

Since the cost of the fixtures could feed a small army for a month, they deserve a close-up. Mud room bench flips up with more storage.

Who knew there were so many choices and price ranges for all this stuff. We learned so much from the process and we are very pleased with the work the contractor did. Thanks for watching the transition happen with us - next time you're in the neighbourhood, stop by and see it for yourself!
