Family & Friends Photos!

It's been a busy week - time to catch up. Megan got a high chair this week. Her inaugural meal in it was mushed bananas and avocado - which she loved!

We had a great visit out at the Farm this past weekend with her cousin Sierra. They hadn't seen each other in a few weeks, due to holiday schedules and such. So the two wasted no time getting back together, holding hands, singing and playing with each other -- very cute!

And the group of women Katie hangs out with a few times a week were at our place this week for lunch. With so many moms standing over top of their kid - none of them knew where to look...but it makes for an interesting photo!

Scott has a rare mid-week day off this week, so we are going to the Zoo tomorrow!! You may remember the Zoo from our trip to Hawaii -- Megan sees animal and cries. We're hoping she wants to try a new approach tomorrow...we'll let you know!! It's gonna be +18 in Calgary too!!

Shark Attack!

OK- not really a shark attack, but these are some of the photos we took with a camera while in the water with the sharks.

Here's our view from the water & what it looks like when the sharks are swimming around the cage, before they tell you to get in the water!

This gives you a pretty good idea as to how they rub the cage and how big they were. We think the largest we saw was around 14 ft.

The crew films each of the cage adventures - so they stick their camera in the water from the boat and get video for you to buy.

Anyway - warm memories of our holiday as we got the pictures developed!

Weekend Update

We had a good weekend with lots of walks and laughs. We met friends for dinner on Saturday night - both kids were excellent in the restaurant, thankfully. We had the best steaks @ Longview Steak House! And Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner tonight and had a visit with our little girl. Megan has a very healthy laugh and was showing it off tonight for them.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

People on Google Earth

If you have never played around with Google Earth - you are missing out. It's a fun way to see the world, scout your next holiday or remember past adventures. It's a free download, so give it a try.

This week at work, we were talking about the mapping benefits it can provide and one of the ladies on our team said, "I'm on google earth!" She then began to share a story about how she was at her home, on her driveway shovelling gravel into a wheel barrel for a backyard project. She saw a weird looking vehicle driving around her neighbourhood with a bunch of cameras on it drive by.

A few days later, she read an article about Google Earth taking photos for one of their updates and she put 2 & 2 together. A few months later, she remembers to check the program and sure enough there she is in great clarity on her driveway.

I know someone on Google Earth - do you? Check it out and see for yourself.
