It's a free download, so give it a try.This week at work, we were talking about the mapping benefits it can provide and one of the ladies on our team said, "I'm on google earth!" She then began to share a story about how she was at her home, on her driveway shovelling gravel into a wheel barrel for a backyard project. She saw a weird looking vehicle driving around her neighbourhood with a bunch of cameras on it drive by.
A few days later, she read an article about Google Earth taking photos for one of their updates and she put 2 & 2 together. A few months later, she remembers to check the program and sure enough there she is in great clarity on her driveway.

my mom was saying that because of google earth, they caught someone in their neighbourhood who had illegally cut down way too many trees! you couldn't see it from the road but with google earth... BUSTED :)
