Elephants, Horses and Protesters...Oh My!

The Circus was in town, so we took Megan. She loves the story of Dumbo and when she found out what we had planned for today - she was excited! I believe the exact words were, "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!"

And what would the circus be without a group of animal right activists? Anyway - they were content to wave their placards, chant a few rhymes, grab a hot dog from the concession stand and leave.  All good.

 The Big Top!

And what would a trip to the circus be without treats?!?

Megan knew cotton candy by name - not sure how, since this was her first taste of it? But she liked it!

It was a mix of animal shows and daredevils. The ringmaster introduced this group as "Fun for the whole family"  We're guessing the biker chick wearing ass-less chaps was aimed at a certain gender group within the whole family.  Just saying.

Megan was intense and very appreciative of each of the acts - very cute!

These ponies were a big favourite. And when the lights turned her favourite colour and she turned and said, "Look Purple Ponies, Mommy! We're thinking it didn't get any better!

Oh, did we mention she danced in the aisle for most of the show...shocking?!  Not!
She did take a break when the music stopped.

We had a blast and were happy we had the chance to show Megan the excitement that comes with a circus. We read Dumbo tonight at bed time...can't imagine what she'll dream about...
