Worthy Cause

This weekend Ed (Katie's Dad) walked 60kms and raised funds for Breast Cancer Research. We all met him at the lunch stop on Saturday to cheer him on and have a visit.

He was really happy to see all of us waiting for him. His team looked in good spirits after their first 18kms. Way to go, Dad! It was a +30 day with beautiful sun - so everyone was being careful to not overheat. Katie's mom was volunteering too, but took some time to hold her grand-daughter and visit with us too!

We then had a bithday party of go to (Happy 31st, Melissa!) Her folks live at a lake community near-by and we enjoyed their lake front access as we played on the water for the afternoon. And then we had a house-warming party to go to. So by the time we left that party, we had a full day and were ready for bed. Sunday will be far more relaxed as we get ready for another work week.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend - long weekend next week!! Scott has a boys trip planned to BC, so so stay tuned for all the adventures they get into! Have a great week.

One of my nephews is two months older than Ethan, and another two months younger... so us aunties all had turns holding the 'new' baby with our bellies underneath :)
