HUAHINE & COOK ISLANDS

Huahine was our first stop on the cruise and certainly lived up to its beautiful reputation. Home to 6,000 resident, Huahine consists of two small Islands (Huahune Nui and Huahine Itti) connected by a small bridge. We decided to take the Island tour with a guide who really should consider a restaurant instead of running island tours -- he spent more time giving recipes than he did talking about the island!! We looked at it like an added bonus. The tour was two hours (more than enough to see both Islands) We saw some beautiful views, ancient ruins, giant blue eyed eels and the tiny villages. After the tour, we took a shuttle back to the main village and had a walk around the main street (a 3 minute jaunt) follwed by some time on the beach. A wonderful and relaxing day!

We had a day @ Sea to head to the Cook Islands -- a day at the Spa with Ma & Pa Boyd - and a hot stone massage - ahhhh, relaxing!

Once at the Cook Islands, unfortunately the Seas were Angry and the Captain did not feel safe letting the Tenders off to take us to the Cook Islands (sad) But he did tour us around them - and now we are back on a Sea Day to head back. Sunday we are back in the Society Islands and will dock @ Raiatea/Tahaa. We have a drift snorkel planned and are very much looking forward to the experience.

Troubles with photos download - but will will try again soon. Love K&S Boyd
