We're Off!

Plane Ride

Our Journey began with an early flight from Calgary to LAX - hoping all our luggage will make it to Tahiti at the same time we do! The fun begins with our trip from LA to tahiti -- Katie got to spend the 8hr flight next to the Cracker Lady. She brought with her a costco size box of Cheese & Crackers to feed her oversize son (did we mention he's 40 years old and takes up two airplance seats?!) He is sitting behind us and she fed him crackers until the entire box was gone -- very disturbing images should now haunt you like they do us!





Resort

We arrived in tahiti and go thru Customs (a straw hut!) We head to our Resort and fight the urge to sleep -- we explore the Hotel which is amazing in the dark - but morning can't come soo enough. We find a hammock to relax in, order some room service and call it a night.



The daylight comes and the colours revealed are fantastic - a dozen shades of blue water and it's +28 by 10am. We meet with our wedding planner and go over the details. She quickly puts us at ease and we're content that the wedding tomorrow will go off without a hitch, so we head to the Ship and meet Ed, Christine, Adam and Roxcie who are all here early too. We explore the City and find markets and such -- all of which give you a real sense of the local culture- Fun! The rest of the gang joins us int he evening - tired from their travel, but energized by the group that has gathered. Let the Fun begin!!
