Concert Review...

When our baby is born and their first words are Fu*K -- then we know that taking them to a Blink-182 concert was a mistake : ) Aside from the brutal language between songs - here's what we thought...

All American Rejects opened - really amazing. Great vocals, much like their albums and the band sounded tight. They played for 45 minutes.

Fall Out Boy was the disappointment of the night. Their sound was brutal - sounded like we were in a paper bag. We couldn't make out what they were trying to say between the songs and the vocal/instrument mix was not good. They played for 45 minutes.

Blink 182 did not disappoint. They brought a great stage show with all the lights, cameras and big screens you expect at a rock show. Drums solos were solid and the guys were as crazy as ever. They played all the favorites (since they don't have a new album) and had some cool mixes (since they've been broken up for nearly 5 years and likely have smoked too many drugs to remember how to play it the way they wrote them!)
We had tons of fun people watching & feeling our baby jump to the music!
Good Night, as Scott sings..."I fell in love with the girl at the rock show." ~ Blink182.

You should probably start reading a lot of nursery rhymes and singing lullabies just in case.

Ok, I am a little out of touch with the Rock scene... haven't heard of any of these bands, but I loved your post, nonetheless! (now, if you posted about Nickelback or Bryan Adams, I would know who you were talking about!) I'd say it's much better to take a baby to a concert while IN the womb than after they are born... We were at the Michael W. Smith/Steven Curtis Chapman concert last Sunday, and while we didn't hear any 4-letter words like that, I was very shocked and surprised at how many little little kids were there. Babies and small kids do NOT care about Smitty and SCC. And it was REALLY loud... way too loud for kids. As MWS was starting his set, one kid behind us said, "Daddy, can we PLEASE go now? We've been here a long time and I want to gooooo." Wow... I felt like telling him that the price of a babysitter would have been half the price they paid for the kid's ticket!!!
